Xiaomi releases Xiaomi 13 in the Netherlands from 999 euros

Xiaomi today announced that it will launch Xiaomi 13 in Europe, after the device was released in China at the end of 2022. The smartphone contains a Leica camera with a 1-inch sensor. It is available in the Netherlands for a starting price of 999 euros for the standard model. In addition, a Pro model at 1,299 euros and a Xiaomi 13 Lite for 499 euros will appear. All smartphones are for sale from March 13.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

Xiaomi 13 Pro is the flagship of the trio. The smartphone has a large 6.73-inch QHD + AMOLED panel and can refresh at 120 Hz. The 1,900 nits bright screen has curved edges and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Inside you’ll find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is the best that chip supplier Qualcomm offers right now. The battery is 4,820 mAh and can charge quickly at 120 Watts

The smartphone line uses the MIUI 14 software shell, based on Android 13. The standard Xiaomi 13 has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel and can refresh at 120 Hz. The screen has no curved edges. Android 13 does contain the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, although the battery is slightly smaller at 4,500 mAh. It also charges less quickly: fast charging takes place at 67 watts.

With these devices, Xiaomi is committed to speed and the camera. The Pro has a Sony IMX989 sensor: a 50-megapixel camera with a 1-inch sensor. Never before could you buy a smartphone with such a large camera sensor. Not in the Netherlands, at least: Xiaomi 12S also had it. Such a large sensor, what good is it? In addition to the main camera, the Pro device also has a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 3x optical zoom. The Xiaomi 13 has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The main camera is smaller than that of the Pro at 1/1.49 inch.

Xiaomi 13 Lite

Xiaomi 13 Lite is mainly aimed at a somewhat younger audience with its double front cameras. On the front there is a 32-megapixel camera to capture images, with support for an 8-megapixel camera for extra depth and a bokeh effect. In addition, Dynamic Framing can automatically detect how many people are in the frame. You can zoom in or out automatically. The device has many selfie options anyway, such as Selfie zoom, a mirror function and Selfie Glow (in which two LEDs light up for a ringlight-like result) to look even more polished on photos. The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and the 4,500 mAh battery can charge at 67 Watts. The AMOLED screen can refresh at 120 Hz. The Lite device is also very thin at 7.23 mm.

Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro

In addition to the three phones, Xiaomi has announced more smart products in Europe, namely the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro and Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro. The earbuds feature Sony’s LDAC technology that transfers data at up to 990 kbps. There is Hi-Res Audio Wireless support and active noise reduction with a depth of up to 48 decibels. The earbuds detect your head movements and adjust the sound accordingly. They last 9 hours, although you can get up to 38 hours of listening pleasure with a case. Wireless charging is also one of the claims of Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. They are available today in Space Black or Star Gold for a price starting at 249.99 euros.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro consists of a 1.47 inch AMOLED screen with rotating crown and sapphire crystal glass. There are more than 100 dials available for this smart watch, which comes in two variants: silver with a brown leather strap and black with a fluoro rubber black strap, although the straps are interchangeable. Thanks to the built-in speaker, you can also make calls with this phone, with noise reduction applied. This smartwatch can track more than 100 sports activities and there are 10 programs for runners. The watch monitors calories burned, exercise intensity, sleep monitoring, heart rate and blood oxygen levels. What is striking is the battery life of up to two weeks and its charging speed: after 10 minutes you can continue for 2 days. Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro is now on sale from 299.99 euros.

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra

Xiaomi’s electric scooter is the brand’s first e-scooter with double suspension for a more comfortable ride. The tires are 10 inches in size and puncture-proof. The e-step can go up to 25 kilometers per hour and can climb slopes of 25 percent with its 940 watts of power. The range of the device is up to 70 kilometers and it can transport people weighing up to 120 kilograms. The IP rating is IP55 and thanks to the aluminum housing it is a fairly light device. Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is on sale today from 1,099 euros.
