Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 NFC: Contactless payments are available in the Czech Republic, soon also in our country

Xiaomi Mi Smart Band bracelets are one of the most popular products in this segment every year. In addition, a version with support for contactless payments has been available in China for several years. This year, however, it will no longer be limited to the domestic market, but the NFC version of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 will also come to other parts of the world. According to the Android World portal, the option to pay contactlessly using this model is currently being launched in the neighboring Czech Republic.

In addition to supporting NFC technology, the new generation of bracelet also brings the function of measuring blood oxygenation (SpO2) along with functions from last year’s models, such as monitoring sleep, heart rate or sports activities.

In the Czech Republic, payments using the Mi Smart Band 6 NFC model are already supported by the first bank. How is Slovakia doing?

Xiaomi brought the opportunity to pay with the Mi Smart Band 6 model in cooperation with Mastercard, so currently only users of payment cards from this company will pay with the bracelet. In the Czech Republic, the service was the first to be supported by ČSOB Bank and the Curve platform. In the coming weeks, mBank will join and later other banks will be supported.

It is not known when exactly the NFC version of the bracelet will reach us. Unfortunately, we do not yet know more information about the first supported banks. However, the Slovak representation of Xiaomi confirmed that Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 NFC will sooner or later be supported in our country as well.
