Leica has worked with Huawei on phone cameras for many years, but the partnership has been terminated (for unknown reasons). That is why Leica is trying to find another phone manufacturer on the market with which it could work. Popular leaker Digital Chat Station stated on its Weibo account that Leica has entered into a partnership with Xiaomi and the upcoming model Xiaomi 12 Ultra boasts cameras in cooperation with this company. At the moment, however, we have no information about what the collaboration will look like and what sensors it will bring. The Ultra flagship is expected to arrive a little later than the standard Xiaomi 12. That’s why it’s estimated that the Leica logo can only be found on this model.
