Xiaomi introduces a “cheap” flexible phone. What shape will it have?

At the beginning of the year, Xiaomi introduced its first ever flexible phone – the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold. It had a shape similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Huawei Mate X2 phones. However, the new patent reveals that the Chinese giant is also preparing a competitor for the Galaxy Z Flip or Motorola Razr phones.

Cheap flexible phone from Xiaomi?

LetsGoDigital claims that Xiaomi has registered a new patent with CNIPA (China’s National Intellectual Property Office), which shows flexible phone in a clamshell style. It also reveals, among other things, a dual selfie camera on the front or a triple camera on the back. At the bottom is a USB-C along with one speaker.

It is also slowly speculating that the phone will be named Xiaomi Mi MIX Flip and will be equipped with slightly worse hardware than is customary with flagship flexible phones, however, it will be cheaper than both the Motorola Razr and the Galaxy Z Flip. It will be the cheapest phone on the market. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about a possible performance yet.
