Xiaomi corrects the biggest flaw of the Poco M3 ApkRig

Update (December 31, 2020, 10:55 a.m.): The video mentioned in the article is no longer available on YouTube, as is related Twitter posts. This also applies to clips from other tech writers. Apparently there were misunderstandings as to when the videos for the Redmi 9T may be published. Further down in our text you can still find some screenshots from the video.

Original article:

An unboxing video for the Xiaomi Redmi 9T has appeared on the net. The camera in particular is worth a look. We explain to you what the smartphone has to do with the inexpensive Poco M3.

The Redmi 9T is not yet official, but Xiaomi already seems to be shipping the first devices. The well-known tech journalist Myriam Joire has uploaded a video of the device on her YouTube channel, on which she introduces the smartphone – and compares it with the Poco M3. You can find the clip above this article.

Redmi 9T gets ultra wide angle

Accordingly, the Redmi 9T is essentially the Poco M3. But you can also expect great improvements. There is a quad camera on the back. The main lens enables recordings of up to 48 MP, while a macro lens and a depth sensor each resolve with 2 MP. You already know that from the M3. What is new, however, is the previously painfully missing ultra-wide-angle lens (8 MP). In the Redmi 9T, the design of the camera module is therefore a little different, as you can see in the tweet below. The striking Poco look has to give way to a simpler variant.

Many parallels to the Poco M3

The Redmi 9T otherwise has a 6.53-inch LC display that dissolves in FHD +. The selfie camera is integrated into a water drop notch. According to Joire, the centerpiece should be a Snapdragon 662 from Qualcomm, which is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A 6000 mAh battery promises a long runtime. On the other hand, you have to do without NFC support. You can also find all the specs in the Poco M3.

It is currently unknown when and in which markets the Redmi 9T will appear. Since Xiaomi already seems to be sending copies to tech journalists, the smartphone should already be ready and a release should not be that far away. January 2021 should therefore be a realistic forecast.
