Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Series Announced
Two powerful tablets have been added to the portfolio of the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi. The brand has released two tablets in the Mi Pad 5 series. Both models are real powerhouses and they both come with an 11.0 inch screen, which delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. A 5G version of the Mi Pad 5 Pro will also appear.
The regular Mi Pad 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 860 chipset from Qualcomm, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. We come across a Snapdragon 870 chipset with both the Mi Pad 5 Pro and the Pro 5G. The tablet has 6GB of RAM as standard, but the 5G model can do it with 8GB of RAM. There is also something to report about the battery. The Mi Pad 5 gets an 8720 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. In the Pro model we come across an 8600 mAh battery, which can be charged with a power of 67 watts. The Pro model also gets Dolby Atmos stereo speakers.
According to Xiaomi, you can also use the tablets for taking photos. There are several changes between the models. The regular model gets a 13 megapixel camera. The WiFi version of the Pro will have a 13-megapixel main camera and 5MP wide-angle lens. The Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G gets a 50 megapixel main lens and a 5 megapixel wide-angle lens. The whole line supports a magnetic keyboard and a stylus. We already know this from competitors such as the Galaxy Tab S7 from Samsung and the Apple iPad Pro 11.
Nothing is known about a release in Europe at the moment. The entry-level model of the Pad 5 starts converted, without taxes and levies, at 260 euros. The Pro is available from 330 euros. These prices will of course be higher in our country.
