Vorwerk wants 1,399 euros for the Thermomix – a lot of money that not every amateur cook is willing to pay. Xiaomi now proves that it can also be cheaper. The Chinese’s Thermomix alternative costs less than the original. By Xiaomi standards, however, the smart food processor is surprisingly expensive.

Xiaomi brings Smart Cooking Robot to Germany at a steep price

For 1,199 euros the smart food processor is now also available in Germany (see Xiaomi). Xiaomi undercuts the Thermomix original by only 200 euros. Other multi-purpose food processors with recipe connection are even significantly cheaper – such as the Monsieur Cuisine from Lidl, which is available for 449 euros.

Both the original and the Lidl alternative cannot compete with the Smart Cooking Robot in terms of looks. Matte black color, minimalist design: the Xiaomi food processor has become really chic. But the cooking robot also has inner values ​​to offer: The device should combine 35 functions. These include stir-frying, stewing, kneading, juicing and even washing. 3 dishes and 1 soup should be prepared at the same time. The reluctance motor provides a lot of power with a speed of 40 to 12,000 revolutions per minute.
