Xiaomi 12S with Leica branding pops up

Xiaomi and Leica announced their partnership last week. In July we will see the first Xiaomi smartphone developed together with Leica. Is that this surfaced Xiaomi 12S?

A photo has appeared of the new Xiaomi 12S. The device shows a similar design to other devices from the Chinese manufacturer, but one thing stands out. The name ‘Leica’ can be found in the camera module. Last week, it was announced that Leica and Xiaomi will collaborate in the field of smartphone photography. This is to the disappointment of Huawei that it has lost a partner.

In addition to the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and the 12X, the Xiaomi 12S is expected to be announced soon. According to Xiaomi, in July we can see the first collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica, which involves a new smartphone. There are also rumors that Xiaomi wants to release a Xiaomi 12S Pro, and a 12 Ultra. It’s not clear whether those models will also get the Leica branding.
