with iBucket you live your lists

The time of wish lists is coming again, but maybe you also have a bucket list with books you still want to read or you want to plan road trips. There is plenty to arrange and organize and iBucket will help you with that. This popular iPhone app is also available on Android. Is this app to do in a list?

iBucket

Let’s start by saying that there are a thousand million apps in which you can lustfully list. You can make long lists in Trello with wines that you have already drunk or that you still want to drink, books you still want to read, trips you have made, et cetera, but how do you map that nicely? At least not so easy in Trello, for example: iBucket is a lot better at that.

The app works like a train, although you must first familiarize yourself with all the different options. You can choose between trips, lists and goals. You can create, organize and even share your lists very creatively. You can add photos yourself or search in a database with freely usable images to give the list a little more playfulness, to clarify or simply to record a trip that has already been.

You can also invite someone to view your list or even participate in the list. Handy if you want to take a road trip and add stops, or if you want to make a bucket list together of things you still want to do: swim with sharks, stuff an oliebol in your mouth in one go, unscrew an old telephone completely à la JerryRigEverything, drinking cocktails once for 20 euros each: you name it.

bucket list

Although iBucket is a very handy, beautiful app, making these kinds of lists depends on the way you work. Indeed, if you’ve been in Trello or Todoist half your life, it might not be ideal to also put it in iBucket, no matter how beautiful the display with those photos is. It is also useful if you are planning a trip with someone, that the other person does not use a completely different tool than you do with your iBucket. However, if you do that well, you can have a lot of fun here.

You can also see the lists of other people. While that can be useful for getting inspiration, there’s so much mixed up that you absolutely have to use the search function to funnel something more into what you’re looking for. The great thing about iBucket is that it has taken some smart possibilities from social media, but does not take them so far that you again have to interact with a lot of people. This is really your list, or yours and a close friend/colleague/family member’s, and that’s actually nice in this case.

Interesting diary

It’s almost a shame that there are so many lists apps, because this one is really a fantastic one. It’s highly customizable as you can add your own photos to it and make a great trip, an extensive wish list, or simply goals you set much more visually. Plus: much more attractive. Take a picture of that mess in your wardrobe and set yourself the goal of cleaning it up. Or a picture of your slightly too blubbery tummy if you want to lose weight. You can always add new photos, so you can see a very cool progression of how well (and maybe sometimes bad) you are doing. Let it be an inspiration, or at least an interesting journal.
