With a camper through the west of America: this is what you can see
To sleep
special
Moab in Utah is a great base for less well-known parks such as Arches, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Point State Park. We were here on Moab Valley RV, but there are nicer campgrounds, like Devils Garden Campground.

Yellowstone
There is so much to see here. We were at Fishing Bridge RV Park and Madison Campground, among others.
Buy a pass
Recommended: buy an annual national park pass first and reserve places at the campsites in good time, because from April it gets busy.
To do
rock people
All National Parks have beautiful visitor centers. Liselore often thought it was fantastic there. I remember the one at Mesa Verde in Colorado: there they teach you how people used to live in rocks there.

short walks
In the parks around Moab we also took some beautiful walks of about three miles with the back carrier. Ask for it at the visitor centers.
dream lake
Emerald Lake and Dream Lake in the Rockies live up to their name. We have walked there; Liselore on foot and Jonathan in the baby carrier.
Best advice
Have a picnic anywhere.

coffee mad
We went to Cody in Wyoming especially because there had to be special coffee from a roaster. And that was right.

American dinner
You should of course do that once: eat in a real diner. At Fishing Bridge General Store in Yellowstone, for example.
