Windows 11 gets support for Android apps: this is how it works

Microsoft has given a presentation about Windows 11. The announcement revealed that the company will offer support for Android apps.

Windows 11 with Android apps

During the presentation of Windows 11, which will be the successor to Windows 10, Microsoft shared interesting details about using Android apps on your computer. The new Windows version will receive support for installing and using applications.

The new Microsoft Store will be integrated with the Amazon Appstore. Applications can be downloaded that way. It is therefore not the case that you have (full) access to all apps as you have in the Google Play Store. Previously, Microsoft’s idea was that developers could port their Android apps to Windows 10. However, this project was not followed up. The Android apps in Windows 11 are opened in windows and can also be placed as shortcuts in the taskbar.

New in Windows 11 is, among other things, the start menu, which is now placed centrally, instead of left. We also say goodbye to the Live Tiles and Microsoft Teams has been integrated. In the new version we also get a renewed Microsoft Store for downloading apps. Windows 11 should be available as a free update at the end of this year.
