A source from China reports that Foxconn (the manufacturer that will produce the iPhone 14) will be hiring fewer employees. This could jeopardize the iPhone 14’s delivery date. In this article we tell you all about it.

Foxconn production workers recruitment suspended
At the beginning of this week, iPhone 14 manufacturer Foxconn indicated that they wanted to hire more employees because of the high demand for the flagship. Now the South China Morning Post reports that the factory will not do this after all.
The reason? There is a new outbreak of COVID-19 in and around the factory. In China that means: a new lockdown. The production and delivery date of the iPhone 14 is “at risk” due to the postponement of this application process.
Will Apple meet the target iPhone 14 delivery date?
The source does not expect this to give Foxconn a headache. In fact, they don’t expect the iPhone 14 launch to move at all. The iPhone 12 faced the same problems in 2020. Then Apple was forced to postpone the launch of this flagship until October 2020.
Apple not worried about iPhone 14
However, it is not entirely certain that the delivery date of the iPhone 14 will not be postponed. Fortunately, Apple doesn’t just have bad news. The factory of the latest MacBook Pro 2021 has started up again after a series of lockdowns.
Is Apple itself panicked about the delivery date of the iPhone 14? A publicly traded company must publish its (profit) figures every quarter. During this presentation, CEO Tim Cook stated that the restrictions will most likely continue to simmer for a while. On the other hand, he praised Apple’s employees. The Cupertino company’s handling of these “roadblocks” still works.
Our conclusion? It is unclear when the iPhone 14 delivery date was originally planned. So we don’t know if this will work out. Corona still throws a spanner in the works too often.
