Will Regé-Jean Page be the next James Bond?
Daniel Craig is off James Bond, so the big speculation can begin. Who will be the next James Bond?
Always good for much speculation, who will be the new and thus seventh James Bond. There is, of course, only one real Mr. Bond and that is Sean Connery. There is, of course, a lot of discussion about that. Roger Moore made seven Bond films, George Lazenby had to leave after one film, Timothy Dalton after two and Pierce Brosnan was allowed to play the super-spy four times.
Daniel Craig
The most recent 007 is of course Daniel Craig who just finished his fifth and final Bond film No Time to Die delivered the 25th in the series. Now the movie bosses have to look for James Bond number 7.
Fortunately, the whole world always thinks along unsolicited with these kinds of issues. Idris Elba is mentioned, as are Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy. As for the Russo brothers, known from Marvel films such as The Avengers: End Gameall wrong.
Rege-Jean Page
No one has asked them, but they think Regé-Jean Page should be the new 007. The actor broke through with his role in Bridgerton. The Russo brothers worked with him very recently for Netflix action movie The Gray Man and after that collaboration they are convinced that he is the man for the seventh James Bond. Joe Russo puts it this way:
He has more charisma in his little finger than some in their entire body. We would watch him in any role. Even if he read the phone book, he would captivate us
His brother Anthony hastens to add that he too thinks Page is very talented and that he is bursting with charisma. The Russo Brothers are not about it, but the producers of the James Bond films have already received this advice.
Incidentally, those producers do not reveal much about the casting of the new Bond. They want to take their time before launching the seventh 007.
