Wietze de Jager announces the gender of the fourth child
Just a little while and then there will be six of Wietze de Jager and his wife Lieke. Soon there will be a baby. In his morning show on Radio538, the radio DJ announces whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
During the pregnancy of their third child, Wietze and Lieke did not want to know the sex, but now they couldn’t wait to find out. Although the two actually knew for sure: there will be a girl. That was also the wish of daughter Juul. “She really wants it to be a girl, because she already has two brothers. A girl would be so nice. And of course those boys just want another boy,” he says. “I was also thinking about a girl actually. We already had a lot of girl names in mind, and we didn’t come up with boy names yet.”

Varying reactions
A large balloon with colored confetti finally puts an end to all confusion. On a sound clip you can hear that blue confetti is coming out of the balloon, so the children will soon have a brother. Although sons Kees and Harm-Adam are immediately enthusiastic, daughter Juul clearly has to get used to the idea. “Another one?” she responds, somewhat disappointed. She is now completely over, Wietze says on the radio. “In the end she asked if we could also make up that little boy and put on dresses, because she could see that completely in front of her. That’s totally fine dude, that will be fine.”
