When is the new Pixel Watch 2 coming? Maybe this year
While we are now counting down the days until we will probably see the announcement of Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a by Google, there is of course also a new flagship in the works: Pixel 8. Rumor has it that we will also be treated to Pixel 8 at the same time as a new smartwatch from Google: Pixel Watch 2.

According to 9to5Google, that is what is about to happen: Pixel Watch 2 will appear later this year, when we also expect the Pixel 8 smartphone and its big sister 8 Pro. With this, Google would follow competitors such as Samsung and Apple, who also come up with a new wearable every year.
We have now just been able to get used to the Pixel Watch for half a year, which is unfortunately not officially available in the Netherlands, but a new one could be coming in six months. Whether it is actually called Pixel Watch 2 is unknown, but it is of course in line with expectations.
New Google smartwatch
Pixel Watch 2 will probably be in development for years, just like the first Pixel Watch, which finally leaked in April after a Google employee left it in a restaurant. Accidental or on purpose, we’ll never know, but it did create the right buzz around the first Pixel wearable. In any case, the eyes are really focused on Google in that respect, which has a lot of knowledge in this area after the acquisition of Fitbit.
Although Pixel Watch is a good smartwatch with a nice, subtle and unique design, it is not a very exciting one. Would Google dare a little more with its successor? In any case, a more modern processor would help a lot, in addition to more battery life than a day, although that can also be extended by such a brand new processor.
