When is the iPhone 14 release date?
If we are to believe all the rumors, the iPhone 14 looks set to be the most spectacular iPhone upgrade in years. Especially the cameras of Apple’s flagship are improving greatly. Can’t wait? In this article you can read everything about the release date of the iPhone 14 in the Netherlands.
It is easy to predict when Apple will release the new iPhones in 2022. Apple traditionally launches the new iPhones in September. These were the launch dates for previous iPhone models:
- iPhone 13 (Pro): September 24, 2021
- iPhone 12 (Pro): October 23, 2020
- iPhone 11 (Pro): September 20, 2019
- iPhone XS and XR: September 21, 2018
Usually, Apple announces the new iPhone in the second or third week of September, on a Monday or Tuesday. The year 2020 was an exception, partly due to delays in the production chain due to the corona virus.
The devices can usually be pre-ordered the Friday after the announcement. A week later, the brand new devices are in the shops and the first orders are delivered.
iPhone 14 launch date
If we look at the past years, these are the most likely dates:
- iPhone 14 announcement: Tuesday September 13, 2022
- iPhone 14 pre-order: Friday September 16, 2022
- iPhone 14 release date: Friday September 23, 2022
The new flagship is expected to get a new design, in which the notch disappears. Instead, there will be two cutouts for the selfie camera and Face ID technology. You can see how that probably looks in the photo below.
iPhone 14 release date in danger: also in the Netherlands?
Foxconn (the manufacturer that produces the iPhone 14) has started hiring fewer employees in the past week. The area around the factory in China is in a new lockdown due to COVID-19. This could jeopardize the iPhone 14’s life date.
However, Apple is little concerned about whether the iPhone 14 will arrive on time. So we still expect the company to announce the iPhone 14 ‘just’ as usual in September. An exact date is still unclear. We do know for sure that the Netherlands is one of the countries where the iPhone 14 is available first.
