WhatsApp will soon let you remove typos from apps with edit button

WhatsApp is working on the ability to remove typos from your messages. You can then edit messages after they have already been sent. That feature is still in development and it will work on Android, iOS and desktop.

Sometimes you are a little too enthusiastic and you send an app, only to see after a few seconds that there are still typos. That can be very embarrassing at times, depending on who the recipient of the message is. WhatsApp is now going to help users out of the emergency with an edit button that allows you to edit apps afterwards.

The upcoming feature was discovered by the reliable rumor spreader WaBetaInfo. We see in his screenshots how you can long-press a message and then press ‘Edit’. You will then see a text box where you can change the text and confirm with the send button.

Edit history?

It is not known whether there will also be a possibility to view the editing history of text messages. At this point, that feature isn’t available yet, but developers may add it once the edit button is rolled out to users with an update.

It remains to be seen when we can expect the button. We will probably see it first in the beta version of WhatsApp and then it will only appear in the stable version. It is also certain that the button will work on Android, iOS and desktop.
