WhatsApp will soon be useful for sending files
WhatsApp is of course already useful for sending files, but this will become even more convenient.
WhatsApp has already become an integral part of the mobile society. The free messaging service that operates via the Internet is immensely popular. It was, is, and probably will remain so. Especially because more and more functions are being added to the app. One that is now in the test phase, which could become quite interesting.
Send large files via WhatsApp
WhatsApp can be a handy way to quickly send files. It doesn’t matter whether that is videos, photos or other things, WhatsApp can send it all. At least, as long as it is smaller than 100 MB. That’s enough for photos or short videos, but WhatsApp is too basic for gigantic books, long videos or other huge numbers. That’s going to change. WhatsApp is testing with a significantly increased file limit.
2GB files on WhatsApp!
In Argentina, people are now getting a notification that you can send files up to 2 GB via WhatsApp. That is a considerable increase compared to the 100 MB limit. It could allow you to send much longer videos, maybe even short movies. It makes WhatsApp a bit more convenient again.
So it’s a test: maybe it’s nothing, maybe the rest of the world can receive it soon. (via WABetaInfo)
