Already in September, WhatsApp officially introduced a feature to move conversation history from iOS to Android. It also applies to voice messages, photos and videos. Everything happens without storing data in the cloud, and you need a cable, specifically with USB-C and Lightning connectors. Unfortunately, the transfer was only available in one direction, and in addition, only Samsung smartphones with Android 10 and later were supported.

In October, it expanded this functionality to new Pixels from Google. At the same time, she announced that all Android 12 smartphones will be able to use it later. Unfortunately, it is still a one-way feature. However, this should be over soon. This is revealed by the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, numbered 22.2.74.

It contains new pieces of code that indicate that we will soon be able to move from Android to iOS. And probably not only using cable, but also through Wi-Fi connectivity. It is not yet clear when the feature will be officially available in a stable version of the application. However, it is anticipated that a full two-way history transfer between these platforms could be available as early as the second quarter.
