WhatsApp test lets users share 2GB files

If you want to share large files, WhatsApp is not the most suitable app for this. However, it is now being tested with larger files that you can send via the messaging service.

Send larger files via WhatsApp

Sending large files is now not possible via WhatsApp messaging service. A file can now be a maximum of 100MB in size. Now the chat app has started a test where you can share larger files.

This option is being tested in Argentina, giving users the option to share files up to 2GB in size with friends, family or others. Whether WhatsApp plans to give everyone the higher limit is unknown at this time. Services such as Telegram already let you share much larger files.
