WhatsApp regularly adds new features to the application. The latest beta version of WhatsApp includes screenshot restrictions. What does this mean?

Thanks to the information from Wabetainfo, we learn that the messaging service is working on a new feature. In the latest beta version of the service, a screenshot restriction has been added for some users. We recognize this a bit from the private chat conversations from Telegram, and now the functionality is also on its way to WhatsApp.

In the future it will not be possible to take a screenshot if a photo is sent as a ‘one-off’. It’s a pretty logical function. Because why would you send a photo to someone once via WhatsApp, if it is possible for the other person to make screenshots of it.

For now, it is only available to some users of the beta version. It is unknown when the functionality will be rolled out to every user.
