WhatsApp gets editor for group chat emoji icons
In WhatsApp you will soon be able to edit the icons of group conversations. You can take an emoji of your choice, and then you choose a background. The feature is currently under development.

Compared to Messenger, also an app from the house of Facebook, the personalization functions in WhatsApp are rather limited. Those who like to make the home screen and apps more personal can currently only do it in these five ways. A sixth is being worked on, that much is clear.
WABetaInfo, a trusted source for WhatsApp leaks, knows that work is being done behind the scenes on the ability to edit the icon of group conversations. you can of course set your own photo as an icon for some time, but in the new editor you will be able to put together something yourself. First you use an emoji and then you can choose a custom background.
The feature was discovered in WhatsApp Beta’s code, but it is not yet active for users at this time. The developers are still working on it, and the feature will probably be available in a future update. Whether and when it will be available in the stable version of the messaging service is not yet known.
