WhatsApp adds the ability to have messages deleted automatically after 90 days

A new beta version of WhatsApp has appeared in the Google Play store, specifically version 2.21.17.16. According to the WABetaInfo portal, it brings with it the option of having messages deleted automatically after 90 days.

The novelty is currently only available in the beta version of the Android application

WhatsApp only recently added to the beta version of the Android application the ability to automatically delete messages after 24 hours. This feature was discovered in version 2.21.9.6 and is still under development.
Now, however, it adds one more option, and that is to have the messages deleted after 90 days. It is not yet known when both news will reach the stable version, but it is not expected to take long.

WhatsApp is also working on other new features

Facebook is constantly expanding its WhatsApp chat service with new features. A few days ago, it introduced the long-awaited ability to transfer data between Android and iOS. Earlier this month, it added the ability to change the quality of shared videos to the beta, and we’ll soon see support for signing in to multiple devices at once.

However, despite efforts to constantly improve the functionality of the service, Facebook continues to face problems with the introduction of new terms and conditions. After a wave of criticism, the company withdrew, but many users were angry with its approach and switched to competing platforms such as Signal and Telegram.
