What you are not allowed to do with a digital vaccination certificate
The digital vaccination card can be set up in the CovPass and Corona warning app so that you can identify yourself as a fully vaccinated person. But there is one thing you should definitely not do with it.
Do not share your digital vaccination record on social networks
Those who are fully vaccinated can have a digital vaccination certificate issued. This one will stored on the smartphone in the CovPass or Corona warning app and can be shown if you are to identify yourself as a fully vaccinated person. You don’t always have to carry the classic vaccination certificate with you and you don’t run the risk of losing or damaging it. But there is one mistake that you absolutely must not make.
It’s now a trend to share on social media when you’ve been vaccinated. This should take place more often again with the booster vaccination. That’s not a problem as long as you don’t post personal information. It’s different with the digital vaccination card. You should absolutely avoid holding the digital vaccination record in a camera after setting it up and sharing it somewhere. A QR code is displayed there, which proves that you have been vaccinated or “boosted”.
If you share it on Facebook, Instagram and Co. because you want to show that you can now move more freely or are better protected, someone could Take over the code and use your vaccination status. Should you not be able to resist and still want to share this success, you have to cover or change the QR code. Hold your finger over it or put a sticker on it before sharing. In order not to make mistakes, you should just leave it alone.
