What the hell did Steve Jobs and Larry Page do together?

Judicial proceedings are ongoing in the United States a dispute between Epic Games and Google. The gaming giant is suing, like another giant company Apple, for alleged abuse of a privileged position in the mobile market and especially application stores. As part of the scramble, thanks to the publication of documents a lot of interesting things came to light. Most recently, for example, the allegation that Google operated a kind of “Premier Device Program” through which it was to reward manufacturers for not allowing third-party application stores into their devices. In the same wave of evidence, Epic Games came up with the idea that that in 2010 they had a very controversial secret meeting between Steve Jobs and Larry Page.

If you’ve slept for the last few decades, let’s remember the context. Steve Jobs was at the founding and biggest boom of Apple, its devices and the iOS mobile system. As a co-founder and longtime head of Google, Larry Page also took care of the expansion of the Android system. According to the indictment, these gentlemen were supposed to meet more than a decade ago and figuratively speaking, “divide the prey”.

“There will always be areas where we will compete. But also those where we will work together, “he told Page Jobs. It is said that a note was also made at the meeting “Our vision is to work as one company”. There is nothing completely shocking about such statements from today’s perspective, Apple and Google are really cooperating in some areas. However, given the allegations that the entire current court is about, it is logical that these accusations of the Epic Games they intend to use against their opponents. According to the game studio, the agreement at the time was behind the creation of an unacceptable “duopoly”, which is now abusing its forces.
