watchOS 9.2 RC has been released

Just like iOS 16.2 RC, a release candidate of watchOS 9.2 has now also been released. After the release of an RC version, it usually takes less than a week for the official release to arrive. This means you can probably install watchOS 9.2 on your Apple Watch on December 15. This will be approximately from 19:00 Dutch time.

New features of watchOS 9.2

With watchOS 9.2 (RC), the Apple Watch gets a few new features. For example, the smartwatch will receive support for the improved Home app, which is also included in iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and MacOS Ventura.

In addition, there will also be a new workout option for runners and cyclists. This allows your Apple Watch to keep track of the time you have taken over a certain route. Then the next time you follow the same route you can try to beat your best time.
