What do you get when you combine Super73 with BMX? This!

Another cool one-off from Super73, this time the electric bike is all about BMX.

The basis of a Super73 is of course the cool design. The company regularly comes up with one-off specials and they all just look cool. This Super73 BMX is no exception. The bike is an ode to the early days of BMX riding in California. Super73 itself comes from this US state, so one and one equals two in this case.

We have known BMX as a hobby and as a sport in Europe for years, but it started in the 1960s in California. Young children were fascinated by the motocross heroes of the time. The stunts on converted bicycles were imitated by the children and so BMX was born.

With the 50-year history of BMX in mind, Super73 has created a custom one-off bike. It’s a tribute to the sport. Basically it is a Super73 ZG. The model has a small manoeuvrable frame and can be used as a BMX in that regard. With a top speed of 25 km/h, the two-wheeler can achieve enough speed to perform stunts.

Unfortunately it is a one-off and Super73 will not make their own BMX from the Super73 ZG. But maybe you can use the model as inspiration to convert one yourself. Just like the children did in the sixties with their own bicycle.
