We tried the rolling OPPO X 2021. This is really the future
As one of the few in the Czech Republic, we were given the opportunity to pick up a few hours ago futuristic “scrolling” phone OPPO X 2021. At least for a few minutes. Because as soon as he appeared in the country, he disappeared. It is one of a very limited number of prototypes that the company is showing around the world as an example of possible mobile technologies in the future. However, we had the opportunity to photograph and film this revolutionary mobile phone.
Thanks to our own experience and authentic shots, we can, among other things, confirm the features of the phone that have appeared in previous promotional videos. It’s mobile very elegantly able to develop and rewind the flexible OLED display on its left side. The diagonals are in individual positions 6.7 and 7.4 inches. No manual pressure or thrust is used when scrolling. The movement is triggered by swiping your finger on a special side sensor. This is very practical and prevents accidental closing or opening.

The phone, which is officially referred to as the OPPO X 2021 Rollable Concept Handset and which was for the first time presented last year at the INNO DAY event, not for sale. As mentioned, the prototype has so far only shown the possibilities for further development of mobile phones. And for us we can say that the scrolling display in this form we really see it as a way, which the industry could and should definitely give.
