Vodafone is scrapping Red Essential, Red Super and Start XL

Vodafone will announce the subscription changes in a blog post. This states that the provider will immediately stop with the Start XL, Red Essential and Red Super subscriptions.

The price of other subscriptions also changes, or you get less or more MBs for your money. All changes are as follows:

  • Red Super: not available anymore
  • Red Essential: not available anymore
  • Start XL: not available anymore
  • Start M: was 1GB for 12.50 euros – becomes 1.5GB for 13.50 euros
  • Start L: was 2GB for 15.50 euros – becomes 4GB for 17.50 euros
  • Red: was 20GB for 31 euros – becomes 12.5GB for 27.50 euros
  • Red Unlimited: was unlimited for 38 euros – becomes unlimited for 35 euros
  • Red Together: was 50gb for 35 euros – will be 50gb for 32.50 euros

This is changing for current subscribers

All changes take effect immediately, but that also means that there will still be many customers who have a subscription to one of the canceled bundles. Vodafone has explained in its blog what is changing for these customers.

  • Red Super: Current Red Super subscribers will receive an email to switch to Red Unlimited free of charge.
  • Red Essential: Nothing will change for Red Essential subscribers. They can complete their current subscription, but cannot renew it.
  • Start XL: Start XL subscriptions are automatically canceled and converted to the new variant.

In addition to being an owner of a Vodafone subscription, are you also a Ziggo customer? Then the doubling of your mobile data for a reduced rate remains in effect. It is the first time in almost a year that the provider has made a change in its subscription offer.
