Vodafone mobile network failure
Vodafone has been struggling with a fault on the mobile network since last night. The website of allestoringen.nl shows that hundreds of complaints have been received since 2 a.m. Around 8:00 am this morning, the counter stood at 4,000 reports. People report problems with the network (no coverage), problems with the mobile internet and problems with calling. Vodafone reported on Twitter that there was a network outage and that it was working on a fix. Via a live blog, Vodafone–customers monitor the situation. This live blog showed that there are also problems with calling 112, which means that it is possible that Vodafone customers are in contact but hear nothing or cannot hear them. Vodafone advised calling 112 via the landline. For less urgent calls, the provider advised to use WhatsApp or Facetime.
Vodafone has just informed its customers via its live blog and text message that the malfunction has been resolved. The provider sent the following message to its customers.
The malfunction with our mobile telephony services seems to have been resolved. Mobile calling and calling 112 is possible again for all our customers. We regret the situation. Sorry for the inconvenience.
