Virgin Galatic Obtains FAA Flight Clearance Again
Virgin galactic will again be able to fly the SpaceShip Two Unity. During the last flight, the aircraft – with Richard branson on board – had deviated from its course for 1 minute and 41 seconds, an anomaly which had not been correctly reported. The FAA then seized the file and suspended the authorization to fly Virgin Galactic while the investigation. Virgin Galactic’s proposals – real-time communication with the air traffic controller during the flight, a flight plan with several possible re-entry paths – have obviously hit the mark.

The changes to the flight protocol have indeed convinced the FAA that Virgin Galactic could resume its space tourism flights without delay. As a result, the next take-off is already set for mid-October, with a crew made up of members of the Italian Air Force.
