Kek Mama is looking for two interns from September 2022. Is writing your greatest passion and do you want to develop yourself in the field of editing and journalism? Then Kek Mama is the internship for you.
Tasks
As an intern at Kek Mama, these are your tasks:
- Writing articles for KekMama.nl. Those are beautiful, funny, inspiring stories about motherhood. But also short articles, such as a news item or a research article. You learn what a good mix is between longer and shorter articles and you learn to write SEO-proof
- Interviewing mothers (or fathers) with a special story about parenthood for KekMama.nl
- Filling small sections for the editions of Kek Mama
- Monitoring the social media channels of Kek Mama
- Maintaining the post and editorial email of Kek Mama
What do we expect from you?
- You are a third-year or fourth-year student of Journalism or Communication, or another related study
- You have a passion for writing
- You write (almost) flawless Dutch
- You are eager to learn and you want to develop further in writing
- You are flexible and can work under time pressure
- You show initiative and also pick things up on your own
- You work both at home and at the office

Kek Mama has a small, but enthusiastic and inspiring team: the editorial staff is located at 38 Maliesingel in Utrecht and is part of FamilyBlend, which also includes Mamaplaats and Mama Magazine. From the first moment you are part of the team and you are one of us. You will be given fascinating assignments, but you are also completely free to come up with ideas yourself. You will also get to know WordPress well and you will delve into SEO writing. Kek Mama is the ideal place to develop yourself in writing.
