Update 112NL app ensures that paramedics help you even better

The 112NL app has received two improvements so that the control room can act even faster in the event of an emergency. You can now indicate in advance when you cannot talk to the emergency center during the report.

When you call 112, you can indicate whether you want to speak to the police, the fire brigade or the ambulance service. With the 112NL app you can immediately make that choice before you actually call. There is also a chat function, which is useful if you want to be discreet in your communication, but also for those who do not speak Dutch well or have a disability.

However, there are also exceptional cases where no communication at all is possible with the control room, and that can be for various reasons. For example because of insecurity or an injury. When you do want to contact the right service, you can now easily indicate in advance that you cannot communicate. Of course, the control room still takes your call seriously and your phone also plays your location so that help can be sent effectively.

Choose language faster

On the other hand, there is an improvement for the chat function of the 112NL app. You have been able to translate text for some time, but now you can choose a language faster. The app has been given a search bar. Of course, that’s only a small improvement, but one that can have a big impact, since every second counts in an emergency. Finally, the developers also share the in the Play Store that the security and stability of the app has been further improved.
