Under this tweet you can have your startup idea evaluated by an investor

Immad Akhud, CEO of Mercury Bank and investor, offers entrepreneurs a special opportunity on Twitter: he evaluates their startup ideas. Akhud, who describes himself as a passionate startup supporter, provides feedback and decides whether he would invest in the company.

He has already evaluated a large number of ideas and states that he will continue to review additional ideas. Furthermore, he hints that he would like to repeat this action in the future.

For those who want to have their idea evaluated by Akhud, follow on his Twitter account a must. But be warned: Akhud is notorious for not being easily impressed.

Diversity of ideas on Twitter

The Twitter community enthusiastically accepted the investor’s offer and gave him a wealth of ideas. One of these ideas was an NFT platform where small and medium-sized artists could sell their artworks without depending on others.

Sounds tempting? Akhud sees it differently. He himself is not a collector and does not understand why people collect things. Therefore, he sees himself as the wrong investor for this idea and suggests that the platform would work better without NFT.

Another idea presented was “LaundroMatt”, a service where customers’ laundry is collected, washed, folded and returned at a set time. Here, too, Akhud withdraws. He says this approach has been tested several times but never worked. He doesn’t even know why that is.

Akhud also comments on less serious proposals

Akhud also answers suggestions that are probably intended to be humorous. For example, one Twitter user suggested an umbrella with a built-in water gun that collects rainwater and sprays it on people to get through crowds faster.

Here, too, Akhud refuses – unless the water gun is controlled by artificial intelligence.

Immad Akhud’s reviews on Twitter offer an interesting perspective on the diversity and creativity of startup ideas, as well as the views of a seasoned investor. Although his opinions on the proposed projects are quite critical, it remains to be seen which ideas will be presented on Twitter and evaluated by him in the future.
