ultralight watch with Wear OS?
With the news around Motorola, the bag has literally torn lately. After the Motorola Moto G51 or Motorola Edge 30 Ultra smartphones, we learn that the manufacturer is also working on the next generation of its smart watches using Google Wear OS. This time, too, it should be a watch with a circular design, but the changes will affect not only the hardware equipment, but also the design. Thanks to the newly leaked renders, however, we can already see what the novelty in the form of the Motorola Moto Watch 100 should look like.
Motorola Moto Watch 100: again with a circular display
Probably the biggest change compared to the current Motorola Moto 360 3rd generation is the bigger inclination towards a sporty look with a less distinctive pair of buttons on the side. At first glance, the watch seems to offer a rotating bezel, which is used, for example, by a smart watch from Samsung. However, a closer look reveals that this is not the case. It is not yet clear what material the Motorola Moto Watch 100 case will be made of. On the one hand, it could be metal. On the other hand, the watch is remarkably similar in design to the supposed name Motorola Moto G Smartwatch, which was brilliantly speculated at the beginning of this year. And they were supposed to have a body made of plastic.
Another figure that would support the deployed plastic structures is the alleged weight. She should achieve it only 29 grams, the housing having the dimensions 42 x 46 x 11.9 mm. The use of a cheaper case material would also make sense given the alleged use 1.3 ″ LCD displays with a resolution of 360 x 360 px. However, the system should drive a new chipset from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon Wear 4100, therefore, on the other hand, not much was saved in this respect. The watch should have an integrated battery capacity 355 mAh and the connection to the smartphone should be provided by Bluetooth 5.0. Then there will be no shortage on board either GPS or heart rate sensor and blood oxygenation.
Earlier leaks spoke of Motorola’s watches using the Snapdragon Wear 4100, GPS, NFC, wireless charging and an aluminum construction with a resistance of up to 5 ATMs. However, these were associated with a photograph of a part of the watch case, on which you can clearly see a different solution of the buttons on the side. It is possible that it was just a development version of the Motorola Moto Watch 100, but it can just as well be two different watches. No matter how much news Motorola launches in the market with wereables, however, we are definitely looking forward to the next watch with Wear OS.
