Twitter has finally made the Community feature available to Android users as well

Twitter finally brings function Communities to your Android application. This happens four months after its launch for iOS and the web interface. If users of Android devices want to join communities through the Twitter app, they should update to the latest version. The portal informs about it TechCrunch.

Communities are created by Twitter itself based on user suggestions

The social network Twitter has been reacting to its competition for the last year and brings very similar functions. Just mention the Spaces feature, which is basically a copy of Clubhouse. Twitter communities may be seen as a response to communities on Facebook’s rival social network, but they actually work in a slightly different way.

Twitter communities cannot be arbitrarily created by users themselves, but are added by their service in response to their suggestions. The reason is that it wants to prevent a number of the same communities from emerging on one topic, which would then compete for users. However, it should be noted that Twitter is very active in creating communities and adds new ones every week. The downside is that they are mostly aimed at English speaking users.

Popular communities include Roblox, Xbox Community, Tech Twitter, Fashion, R&B Twitter or Formula 1. Currently, communities are for everyone or invite only. However, a feature should be added soon to request an addition. Posts you make within the community are public, but only community members can respond.
