Twitter continues to introduce something Facebook has never dared to do
A feature that the big Facebook itself allegedly considered including, but in the end did not. On the other hand, Twitter has announced it before and even now is starting to test more. What’s going on? About the so-called downvoting or a negative reaction to a post or comment. On Facebook (where over time several different reactions eventually emerged as a small substitute), these reactions would take the form of a thumbs down or otherwise dislike. On Twitter, it’s an arrow with the same orientation.
Until now, the function worked for selected users in the iPhone application. Now it is also starting to appear in the regular desktop version in the browser. A bit strange is that the down arrow or negative reaction gets its own place among the other elements, while the newly prepared reactions such as applause, laughter or reflection will be merged on offer together with the current heart.

Current testing so far shows that Twitter does not display negative reactions and even within the algorithm completely ignores their number. We’ll see if that changes somehow with widespread deployment. What else would such a function be for?
