Transfer chats from WhatsApp without iCloud – here’s how
The popular chat service is getting a new feature. In WhatsApp you will soon be able to transfer your conversations to another iPhone without iCloud.

Transfer WhatsApp to another iPhone
A new test version of WhatsApp has shown that transferring chats to another iPhone will soon be a lot easier. Now you are still dependent on a backup in iCloud when transferring all WhatsApp conversations. In the new version of WhatsApp you get an option.

By scanning a QR code in WhatsApp you will soon be able to transfer all your chat conversations. As a result, you are no longer dependent on iCloud for copying your data. Such a backup often takes up quite a bit of space, so the free iCloud subscription with only 5GB of storage space is quickly not enough.
Move chats to an iPhone without iCloud
To use the new QR feature, WhatsApp must be installed on both iPhones. You then only have to enter your number in WhatsApp on your new phone. After that you will automatically get the option to scan a QR code from another iPhone.
You will soon no longer be dependent on iCloud or an internet connection to transfer all your WhatsApp conversations. It is still wise to make a backup copy of WhatsApp in iCloud, especially if you have the space. More new features are coming to WhatsApp
Transferring WhatsApp without iCloud is already coming to your iPhone soon. The feature will be tested among a group of users over the next few days. According to WhatsApp, the update will be available to everyone within a few weeks. But maybe you already belong to that first group!
