The common OR and FFP2 masks cannot keep up with these values: According to the manufacturer, the new “AirControl” air filter from Miele manages to filter 99.995 percent of all suspended matter, viruses, bacteria and fungi from the room air. Although masks are far from a thing of the past, the AirControl is still intended to “make an effective contribution to better health”, announced Dr. Christian Kluge. He is head of the Professional Business Unit of the Miele Group. In order to be able to deliver top quality quickly, Miele cooperates with the filtration specialist UlmAIR.
The air filter is available in three versions, each designed for room sizes of up to 45, 80 or 200 square meters. The manufacturer announces in a Message on, completely cleaned six times within an hour. For this purpose, five filter stages are used inside the AirControl, which filter from larger to smaller particles. Viruses, fungi and other suspended matter are caught in a HEPA high-performance filter H14. Then they are rendered harmless in the device with air at 70 degrees.
