For many, the holiday season is also a time of heavy consumption. No wonder, then, that tourism is an important economic factor for many metropolises. But in which cities do tourists actually spend the most money?

Destinations where tourists spend a lot of money

Latest research from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), a forum for the travel and tourism industry, show the income from international tourist spending for the year 2022. In the following ranking we present the results and thus the travel destinations and cities where tourists spend the most money.

10th place: Paris

Paris is the tenth most popular destination for tourists to spend money. According to the WTTC, travelers gave around $9.76 billion in the city of love.
