Tokyo will not be released until next year -apkrig
And we have another delay. Developers from the Japanese studio Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within) announcedthat their haunting event Ghostwire: Tokyo for PS5 and PC will not be released until early next year. Of course, the authors want us to try the game as soon as possible and taste their damn version of Tokyo. But at the same time, they want to protect the health of their employees.
In addition, the situation in Japan, where the Tokyo team is based, has deteriorated more recently in this regard.
Extra time will allow the team to complete the title as they dreamed. The developers thanked the fans for their patience. Originally, Ghostwire: Tokyo was supposed to be released in October this year. This is another in a long series of delays, most of which can be attributed to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the situation in Japan, where the Tokyo team is based, has worsened in this regard recently.
Founded by Resident Evil Shinji Mikami, Tango Gameworks Studio has been part of ZeniMax Media since 2010 and therefore, together with other teams, passed under the auspices of Microsoft in March this year. But it doesn’t change the time exclusivity of Ghostwire: Tokyo, just like the Deathloop event from Arkane Studios.
The game was announced in June 2019 at E3 at a Bethesda press conference. From the original performance and the first teaser, it might have seemed like a classic hardcore horror, but as we have already written, the haunting will probably only work as an effective backdrop for a relatively frenetic to over-the-top event. Almost all the inhabitants of Tokyo, Japan, inexplicably disappeared, and the city was inhabited by ghosts and mysterious ghosts.
It is an action adventure that we will follow from a first person perspective. The main character has supernatural powers, which he uses in the fight against demons. Paranormal abilities will complement the classic duel here, and the authors themselves described this mix as a mixture of magic and karate. The team stressed that although the title contains horror elements, it is much more action-packed than The Evil Within.
