Tineco Pure One S12 Pro
Tineco Pure One S12 Pro – scope of delivery, design and functionality:
When you unpack the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro, you wonder how so many accessories fit into one package. What is of course more than gratifying for the customer means for me that I have a lot to tell. The best way to do this is to go through each accessory one at a time, then move on to the main unit.
The two large brushes of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro make the start, because you will usually use them for most of the time. On the one hand there is the electric multifunction brush with direct drive and on the other hand the soft brush. The former can usually be used for everything, including carpets, while the soft brush is suitable for gentle cleaning if you run the risk of scratching the floor.
The multifunction brush is powered by its own motor and is therefore not only more effective, but also a little louder, although this is not a big issue with the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. It is audibly quieter than many other models, despite the suction graft. But we’ll get to that.
An interesting detail here is the lighting at the front of both brushes of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. As a rule, most manufacturers do not have this, or only on one of the two brushes, as is the case with Dyson. This also allows you to see dark areas better and dust is also generally more visible, since larger specimens in particular are illuminated and reflect the light. You can see that quite well in the picture above.
Equally important is the motorized mini brush of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. This is particularly effective for upholstered furniture. This can be the chair in the office, or the bed. Especially important for the latter, as dust, pollen, mites and many other extremely small particles are sucked in here. This is important for me on a daily basis in the coming months, as pollen in particular affects me a lot, which also settles in the bed via the body and finds its way into the eyes and nose. How effective this is can also be seen from the very fine particles in the dust tank of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro, which are still sucked in even on apparently clean surfaces.
Otherwise we have a passive brush with a retractable and extendable brush head. This is particularly suitable for smooth surfaces such as tables, for example, which also allows the office table to be cleaned without any problems. Here, the hose helps in particular to reach tighter areas and also to shift the weight, so that one hand can hold the main unit of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro and the other the brush. Incidentally, this works with all passive attachments. For example the crevice nozzle.
I had to marvel at the second crevice nozzle, which I hadn’t seen before. At first it seemed to be a crevice tool with a brush, but it is extendable. This is very practical, because with the classic crevice nozzle of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro you can’t always reach everywhere. Especially with large pieces of furniture or on the desk, which has several such areas in my case. So I think this is a useful extension.
I was a bit confused about the articulated arm of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro, which can be used with all sorts of accessories. As a rule, this can be folded in the other direction, so that it is easier to get under furniture, for example the bed or sofa. That is not the case here. Here you bend down to reach higher areas. Now I would personally argue that that certainly makes sense too, but the area under the furniture is more of a priority. It would have been nicer if both had been included or if the articulated arm could go in both directions. In any case, you can use it to clean the tavern with little effort.
One of the batteries is already in the main unit. Another spare battery is included if you bought the Pro version, which is sometimes also called Pro Ex. The loading dock has positive and negative characteristics for me. On the plus side, most accessories can be docked.
Equally positive is that here the main unit of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro and the spare battery can be charged at the same time when they are in their respective places. The main unit is prioritized first, followed by the spare battery. I find it negative that you have a proprietary connection here, which is only located on the dock.
There is no way to connect the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro or the battery directly to the power supply. For example, I personally prefer floor stands, but wouldn’t be able to use one without disassembling the dock.
Tineco Pure One S12 Pro – features, performance & battery
Before I get to the last and unique accessory, I first have to talk about the main unit of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro, because this is the heart of the cordless vacuum cleaner. The Tineco Pure One S12 Pro is activated simply by pressing the trigger. The metallic switch next to it is a bit conspicuous. This allows you to turn on the continuous mode, which allows you to lift your finger from the trigger. In general, it is very practical to have both and not always common. The pure operation with the trigger is particularly good in small areas, allows a quick reaction if something is sucked in wrong and saves battery. Continuous mode is less tiring in large rooms.
Opposite the trigger is a switch for removing the 0.6 liter dust tank. Here you can not only empty the tank quickly, but also easily clean the inside. Added to this is easy access to the filter, one built directly into the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro and the other in the last accessory.
What initially caused confusion is a handy tool for cleaning the filter. Here the filter is rotated around its own axis in a closed room and vacuumed clean with the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. Of course you can also wash the filter, but you don’t have to.
Incidentally, there is another filter further up, which prevents dust, pollen or particles from getting out again. This is a HEPA filter, which is also used in air purifiers. 99.97% of all particles and even viruses cannot get through here. The prerequisite is that the particles are at least 0.3 micrometers in size.
Another part of the controls is on top of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. The area in the picture below with the sticker is a touch operation. Instead of choosing between Eco, Medium and Extreme as usual, you can precisely select the suction power yourself by swiping up and down. But if you don’t want that, you can select the auto mode. Here, the iLoop Smart Sensor, similar to the smart Tineco Moda One hair dryer, analyzes exactly what is being sucked in and where you are and adjusts the suction power accordingly.
The current performance can be read on the display of the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro. Here the current status is displayed precisely and errors and problems are also reported immediately. The outer ring lights up blue when the current area is clean and red when dirt is detected. However, this does not necessarily have to be visible. So where it is blue you can only go over it once and if it is red you should clean the area more thoroughly.
The Tineco Pure One S12 Pro achieves a maximum suction power of 22,000 pa, with the motor having an output of 145 watts (which can actually only mean Airwatt). These are not top values, as with some of the more recent models from other manufacturers, but the Tineco Pure One S12 Pro can be categorized in the upper middle class. In total, it lasts up to 50 minutes.
However, what some testers don’t understand is that this isn’t the auto mode, it’s also the lowest suction setting. In auto mode or generally with medium suction power, you get around 30 minutes. In max mode, which is rarely important and usually only important for carpets, to about 10 minutes. As a rule, the auto mode is sufficient to clean an entire house with three floors and a basement. Therefore, the battery performance is perfectly fine.
Tineco Pure One S12 Pro – price and availability
Tineco Pure One S12 Pro (or Pro EX) is already available and costs €599. That’s quite a lot, even if you get good quality and lots of accessories here. If you like fewer accessories and can do without the spare battery, you can also take the regular version.
