Tim Cook meets with Republican lawmakers to protect the App Store
L’AppStore is under fire from critics UNITED STATES. Beyond the Case Twitter, Apple’s application store is still under anti-trust investigation and, above all, several bills (5 in all) mainly brought by Democratic representatives, a project that could open the floodgates of sideloading and stores wide open alternatives. After the virtual success obtained in the trial Apple vs. Epic Games, Tim Cook wants to protect the App Store from any measure that could reduce its profitability.
And to achieve his ends, the boss of Apple is ready for anything, even if it means sitting down at the table of Republican legislators as he just did this week on his way to Washington DC Cook would have planned to meet Jim Jordan ( elected Republican of Ohio), Cathy McMorris Rodgers, or even Darrell Issa, all members of the GOP (Great Old Party, or the Republican Party). The discussions would once again focus on the numerous legislative projects that could undermine the economic model of the App Store.
