According to beta users of the service, you will soon be able to subscribe to TikTok channels and that should bring benefits during live streams. As a subscriber you can prioritize your messages during streams in chat, there are special stickers, but also badges and digital gifts. Furthermore, TikTok’ers can also hold exclusive live streams for their subscribers.

With its Live subscription, TikTok basically kills two birds with one stone. On the one hand, it can offer a new source of income to subscribers, one that remains more or less constant per month. Previously, TikTok members could only earn money if they convert their followers’ digital gifts into real money. With the new formula, TikTok not only keeps content creators happy, but it can also put its Live functions in the spotlight at the same time.

The service will first be available to a select group of content creators on May 26, and the feature will be rolled out more widely at a later date.
