Three new Macs are hiding in Apple’s Locate network
At least three Macs should see the light of day soon if we stick to a configuration file from Apple’s Locate network. As overdraft Nicolás Álvarez, the machines have recently appeared and their identifiers do not correspond to any model currently on the market.
Upcoming arrival of three new Macs
All three Macs are referenced to Mac14.8, Mac14.13, and Mac14.14. They joined the Mac14,3 and Mac14,12 models which correspond to Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro chips. Their specific presence in the configuration file suggests that they do not need to be tracked by the Locate network. In fact, it should be desktop Macs, not MacBooks.

The big question is which Macs are in question. There are four lines: iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro and Mac Studio. Just yesterday, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman announced that the Mac Pro won’t be at WWDC in June. He added that the new Mac Studio is postponed and will wait for M3 chips. Indeed, Apple would not want to launch a new model with M2 chips so as not to cannibalize the new Mac Pro (which would obviously arrive in the second half).
That leaves the Mac mini and the iMac. Apple released a new Mac mini in January with the M2 and M2 Pro chips, we suspect that there will not be a new model in a few weeks. Next comes the iMac. But there are no rumors suggesting the imminent arrival of a new iMac, let alone three models/variants. We would have to wait (at least) until the end of 2023 with the M3 chips to have new iMacs.
We will probably have to wait for WWDC in June to learn a little more about these three new Macs.
