Tip 1: Stop video or music with a timer

When you have to leave on time and have an appointment, you can set a timer on your iPhone. But did you know that you can also automatically stop a song or video with this timer? This way you can continue binging on Netflix and the video will stop automatically when it’s time to go!

Stop video or music automatically with a timer on iPhone

  1. Open the ‘Clock’ app;
  2. Choose the option ‘Timer’ at the bottom;
  3. Set the duration and tap ‘When timer ends’;
  4. Scroll down and choose ‘Stop playing’;
  5. Tap ‘Set’;
  6. Tap ‘Start’ to start the timer.

Tip 2: Quickly return to the top of a list

You probably enjoy browsing through the Netflix app. The app on your iPhone and iPad gives you all kinds of great tips and recommendations, so we understand that you are happy to scroll through them. When you want to scroll back up again, you have to swipe a few times to get back to the top of the list.

However, there is a much easier way that also works in other apps. This way you can quickly go back to the top in Netflix, but also in the Photos app or a playlist in Spotify, for example.

All you have to do is tap your finger at the top of your iPhone’s screen (for example, where the clock is). When you do that, the list you currently have open will automatically scroll up.

Did you know that there is a faster way to scroll through your iPhone’s settings (back), for example? When you’re deep in your iPhone’s settings, you’ll have to tap “Back” multiple times to return to previous pages.

However, in this iPhone tips, we show a faster way. Just hold your finger down on the text ‘Previous’. A menu will appear with all previous settings pages.
