‘This year I’m going to think body more positively, then just a little more bacon on my body’
Wearing clothes to impress others or endless lines without success. These moms are throwing these habits out the door because they’re just as good without them.
Maria (43), mother of Puk (8) and Olle (6).
“After I quit smoking four years ago, I gained ten kilos. For four years I’ve been frantically trying to get it off by starving myself Monday to Friday and then bunkering like crazy for three days. But yeah, that doesn’t work. I’m going to stop that radically now, because after every failed attempt I feel like such a huge loser. I don’t want to inflict that violence on myself anymore.
“Then I’ll have some more bacon on my body, I’m fine with it”
No, in the new year I will hang a poster of Miljuschka Witzenhausen on the fridge and I will think body more positively. Then a little more bacon on my body, I like it that way.”

Just as sexy
Flora (44), mother of Jacco (9).
“I refuse to wear thongs any longer. Those annoying ass laces really belong to the past. My body hasn’t tightened up since I became a mother. Too bad, but it’s no different. And so I exchanged the revealing string for a neat Brazilian slip. I actually find it just as sexy, while it hides just a little more flesh than such a thin thong.”
Too neat
Shirley (33), mother of Keano (4).
“I will never put on clothes to impress anyone again. I worked as a teacher and imposed on myself the image of the nice, neat teacher. That’s what I dressed for: not too tight, not too outspoken. Actually just not authentic anymore. While in private I am not averse to a few sharp swear words, great adventures and clothing that fits.”
