Aldi sells retro city e-bikes for 999 euros
Pedelecs are a dime a dozen. If you are looking for something special, you can strike at Aldi Süd from June 24, 2021. A chic e-bike with a retro look is being sold there. It is about the connoisseur e9.1 from Prophete. This costs 1,179 euros from other retailers such as MediaMarkt, but is currently not available there. Aldi demands for that City e-bike in this special version for only 999 euros. Since the purchase is made via the online shop, you don’t have to pick up the bike at the discounter, you can have it delivered to your home free of charge.
The Aldi e-bike is of course a real eye-catcher. Technically, you get solid basic equipment that is not up to date. The Samsung battery is under the luggage rack instead of being built into the frame. The The drive is also located in the front wheel instead of in the hub. The driver is thus felt to be pulled. Otherwise everything is on the bike that you need for everyday life. You have several speed levels available, complete lighting and of course mud flaps. Aldi specifies the range with up to 120 km. Realistically, one can assume half of this for a higher support level. It is also a pushing aid integrated. The discounter gives a three-year guarantee, with the battery being covered for two years and the frame for ten years. Of course, this does not apply to wearing parts.

Who is it worth buying a retro e-bike from Aldi?
Basically for everyone who is not looking for a normal e-bike, but wants to stand out from the crowd with a special look. The price of 999 euros for this model is absolutely okay. Pedelecs are currently in extremely high demand, which has led to a massive increase in prices. You don’t get the latest technology, but this model is absolutely sufficient for smaller tours. Alternatives are significantly more expensive.
