Silo is now available on Apple TV Plus
Are you also looking forward to Netflix? Or can you no longer share your account due to the new arrangement? Then Apple TV Plus is definitely worth a try. There is another new and well-reviewed series on the streaming service with Silo. A total of ten episodes of Silo will appear on Apple TV Plus, each of which is about an hour long. And even better, season two of the series has already been confirmed.
Silo is set in the future and is about a community that, as the name suggests, lives in a giant silo. They have no choice, because the world above the ground has become unlivable for humans. There are strict rules in the underground society, which are intended to protect the inhabitants. At least that’s what the residents are told.
From the moment the sheriff breaks an important rule and residents mysteriously die, things go wrong in the silo. Engineer Juliette Nichols, played by Rebecca Ferguson, tries to find out what’s going on. But in her quest she discovers the fierce secrets of the underground society. The series also stars Will Patton, David Oyelowo and Tim Robbins.
This way you can watch Silo (temporarily) for free
There are several ways to watch Silo on Apple TV Plus for free. When you buy a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac, you get three months of Apple TV Plus for free. If you bought a new device not so long ago, it is therefore wise to check whether you are still in those first three months. The discount also applies if you already have an Apple TV Plus subscription.
Not yet subscribed to Apple TV Plus? Then you can request a free trial. How long this lasts depends on the subscription you take out. With the standard Apple TV Plus subscription, the trial period lasts seven days. With Silo’s ten episodes, a seven-day free might be on the short side.
In that case, the Apple One subscription is a smarter choice. You then have a free trial period of one month. You also get iCloud Plus, Apple Music and Apple Arcade. With both subscriptions it is of course possible to cancel before the trial period has ended. This way, you can watch Silo on Apple TV Plus free of charge, provided you have finished watching the series on time.
The last episode of the season will not be released until June 30. If you plan to watch the entire series at once during the free trial period, it is therefore smart to take out the subscription only after that. This way you have enough time to watch the series.

Can’t finish Silo during the trial period of your subscription to Apple TV Plus? After the trial period, you pay 6.99 euros per month for a subscription to Apple TV Plus. The big advantage compared to Netflix: Apple TV Plus does allow you to share your account. If you share the account with your friends, you pay less than 6.99 euros again.
For an Apple One subscription, 16.99 euros per month is requested from individual users. Would you rather share the subscription with your family? Then you pay 22.95 euros per month. The account can then be shared with a maximum of five other users in total. As a result, you pay relatively little for the wide range that Apple TV Plus now offers.
