This PC fits in your pocket and uses a whole new type of cooling
The popular vendor of components for PC Zotac presented its latest innovation, the ZBox PI430AJ, a tiny computer that fits in the palm of the hand, and which has the particularity of using unique cooling.
At Computex 2023, Zotac has just announced a brand new minicomputer that fits in your pocket, the ZBox PI430AJ. This mini PC is distinguished by the use of the AirJet, an active solid-state cooler, developed by Frore Systems.
The ZBox PI430AJ integrates two AirJet Mini cooling chips to efficiently cool an Intel Core i3-N300MHz processor with a TDP of 7W. It also has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Despite its compact size, the AirJet cooling technology ensures that the chip does not suffer from power reduction, resulting in consistent performance even under demanding conditions.

The ZBox PI430AJ promises a unique cooling system
Compared to traditional cooling methods like heat-dissipating fans, AirJet technology proves superior, according to its manufacturer. Frore Systems, the company behind AirJet, has received major funding of $116 millionpart of which came from tech giants Intel and Qualcomm, to develop cooling solutions for components that generate increasingly high levels of heat.
Simply put, AirJet uses a micro-electromechanical system that blows air out of a semiconductor chip, resulting in a thinner and quieter cooling solution than a traditional fan. It is therefore the first mini PC to offer this advanced cooling technology.
Along with state-of-the-art cooling, the PI430AJ Mini PC has a range of connectors including USB 3.2, USB-C, an audio jack, DisplayPort, HDMI and an Ethernet port. It also has a microSD card slot and VESA mount for added versatility. Zotac says the device can be customized with up to 16 GB of memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD.
Here is a summary of the specifications of the ZBox PI430AJ:
- Processor: Intel Core i3-N300 octa-core with a TDP of 7W
- Memory: Up to 16 GB LPDDR5
- Storage: Up to 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, microSD card slot
- Video output: HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort
- Audio: 3.5mm audio jack, digital audio via HDMI and DisplayPort
- Network: Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2
- USB: 2 USB 3.2 ports, 1 USB Type-C port
Zotac plans to put the mini PC on sale at fourth quarter 2023, priced at $499.
